Universal Bot Actions (Pause, Stop, Duplicate)

From your Bot Dashboard, you have a powerful set of actions to manage your bots in real-time. You can find these icons by hovering over any bot in your list. It is critical to understand what each one does before you use them.

Action panel

Let's go through them one by one.

Duplicate (Copy Icon ❐)

This is a convenient feature for quickly launching new bots based on successful ones.

  • What it does: Clicking the duplicate icon will open the "Create Bot" screen with all of the selected bot's settings and parameters pre-filled for you.

  • When to use it: If you would like to duplicate the previous bot configuration:

    • Run the exact same strategy on a different trading pair.

    • Launch the same strategy with a different investment amount.

    • Make a small tweak to the settings and run it alongside the original.

Edit (Pencil Icon πŸ“)

This action allows you to modify certain parameters of a bot while it is still running.

  • What it does: Clicking the edit icon will open a configuration screen where you can adjust settings such as your grid range or investment amount.

  • When to use it: Use this if you need to make strategic adjustments to a live bot without stopping and starting it from scratch. For example, if you see the market trend is moving, you might edit the bot to adjust its trading range.

  • A Word of Caution: Be careful when editing a live bot. Changing key parameters can significantly alter its strategy and performance based on its current position.

Pause (Pause Icon ⏸️)

Pausing a bot temporarily stops it from opening new positions.

  • What it does: The bot will not place any new buy orders. However, it will continue to manage its existing position.

  • When to use it: This is useful if you anticipate major market news or instability. You can pause the bot to prevent it from investing more capital, wait for the volatility to pass, and then resume it.

  • How to resume: A paused bot will show a "Play" icon (▢️). Click it to resume normal operations.

Stop (Trash Icon πŸ—‘οΈ)

Stopping a bot is a permanent action that terminates the strategy completely.

  • What it does: The bot is shut down and removed from your running bots list. It cannot be restarted.

  • CRITICAL: What happens to your funds? When you click the stop icon, you will typically be presented with an option to either sell the assets the bot is holding at the current market price or keep the assets in your exchange wallet. Read this confirmation screen carefully.

  • When to use it: Use this when you want to definitively end a strategy, free up the invested capital for other uses, and realize all final profits or losses.
